Perhaps you could block projectiles from the last direction you walked on. hmmm ...

Also, different kind of shields, wooden, hylian, mirror...

What is really needed is making the dungeon entrances look like dungeon entrances... Also... kakariko village and scattered houses.

The game will also look very different on next version, whenever it cames (I have something experimental planned :P)
