Usually you will have several groups of people on your ships, and there's no real benefit to keeping them there, so it would be nice if you could put all of them in the expedition with a single press of a button (rather than having to go though each pop-type and inputing the max number).

I merged this issue with 1132, one remark: In future versions there may be benefits for keeping people in the ships (taking care of thiefs and the ships themselves?) Also, I think food consumption is lower for people in the ships than the travellers.

Expedition Kits / Landing groups
-You may want to give the player the ability to configure an expedition kit. Unloading everything needed to explore every time you go on land can get tiresome. There could be a slot for people manning the boat and another one for the explorers. Of course you could switch between them freely should you run out of explorers.
That sounds interesting, may be allow different options when landing (Disembark, Land with soldiers, Land with explorers, Land with crew)

Food calculated incorrectly
I'll admit upfront I have no idea how food is rationed out and in what way sauerkraut is better than ship-biscuit. My hypothesis is 1 food/person/day. The game routinely changes how many days of food I have left (one day it's 188, the next 193, then 186, etc.), and it's always less then the 1 per person per day I assume.
This was in the curses version, if that matters. Does it?
The game crashed when I tried to save (so I could attach a save file), but that's a story for another bug report...

This was probably caused by changes in temperature, which affects food consumption (terrain does too, but since you are in the sea...)

This may be a bit confusing, it looks even more random when you are walking thru different terrains, for example rivers and mountains. The correct reading of that number is "food days if you keep in the current terrain and the weather doesn't change :) )

I will however check if there's a bug in the food days calculation.

Stepping off the map causes a crash.
if you come to the end of the map (on the east side) the game seems to crash.
Only seems to happen when sailing. Sometimes give the proper message that you cannot go there, sometimes does this.

End game crash

Men lost when transfering to ship/expedition
I seem to lose men through "transfer to expedition/ship" menu when I am on land next to a ship. I've lost a lot of people this way, including Explorer. It just removes them from party but doesn't add to the ship.

Storms hide ships and towns
When an expedition is on land ,and a storm comes into the same tile as the ships, the ships disappear from sight, and the expedition treats the tile as open water, saying "You can't walk there." The ships reappear after the storm abates and function as normal. The same thing happens with settlements.

Bug when creating a town
If your expedition is carrying equipment when you establish a town, transferring colonists can cause you to got beyond your weight limit. You will get a message that says you've passed your weight limit and the colonists will be lost, and after that it's impossible to get out of the town creation screen since you need to transfer at least 100 people.

It's not terribly hard to do randomly generated zelda type block puzzles. All you do is start with a random solution and then scramble it in a way the player can solve (pull the blocks instead of pushing, etc).
