This brings me to the manual, which suffers from the same problem. It's also entirely too brief. Too much is left unexplained. There's too much to fully encompass in one post, but little examples - it'd be nice to explain the Day/Night cycle and its consequences. Or to explain why if I pick up a weapon or armour as a Vampire Killer, I'm unable to equip it. Or why certain shopkeepers refuse to sell me anything - they say 'I don't have anything for you today' - does that mean I should go back at a later time? With more money, perhaps? I tried several times, but nothing ever changed.
To continue on the topic of the manual deserving an update, some items are left entirely unexplained. I completed some long branching path to find a 'Card of Sol', and thought 'Hmm... Perhaps it's an infinite-use Card of the Sun!'. So I promptly used it, to test out what it did, only to have it disappear. Some kind of description of its intended use - or removing the ability to 'use' it if it is meant to be reserved - would serve well. Similarly, many weapons I found had a 'Cov: +5%' or whatever rating. Looking at the manual, I assumed that these meant they'd increase my blocking ability of some kind. But this is definitely not made clear - the manual implies that blocking is purely the province of shields.
Oh, speaking of, another thing that's not in the manual - that using a recall orb loses your hostage. Saw it on the forums instead. You can't be expected to 'know' that - I suggest putting it in the item description.
